Thomas Raab

Thomas Raab, born in 1970, is a writer, screenwriter and musician who lives with his family in Vienna. His school years were rather difficult, if it hadn't been for the piano - free psychotherapy, so to speak. In 1988 he graduated from high school. After that, first attempts as a songwriter, graduation in mathematics and sports. This was followed by 10 years as a teacher (because it was so nice at school) on the one hand, and in musical and musical theatre and as a singer-songwriter on the other. Since 2007 writer. Numerous literary and musical nominations and prizes, including the "Buchliebling" in 2011 and the Leo Perutz Prize in 2013. The crime novels about the restorer Willibald Adrian Metzger are among the most successful in Austria. Two of them have already been filmed for ARD. Outside the Metzger series, the serial killer novel "Still. Chronik eines Mörders" (Chronicle of a Murderer) - currently the crime series about the quirky Hannelore Huber by Kiepenheuer & Witsch. In 2017, Thomas Raab was awarded the inaugural Austrian Crime Prize. He is currently working on the third volume of "Frau Huber ermittelt", which is due to be published next year.
