Martin Zinggl

Martin Zinggl, born in Vienna in 1983, travels the world as a reporter, photographer and filmmaker. At the age of twenty-four, the ethnologist conducted research on a remote island in the South Pacific, where he discovered writing for himself. He visited various crisis areas with "Doctors Without Borders" and reported on them. His texts and photos have appeared in GEO, Reportagen, Spiegel Online and Al Jazeera, among others. He is the author of four travel books, most recently he wrote "Gebrauchsanweisung für Lissabon" (Piper Verlag) and is currently working on a screenplay. When he is not traveling, Martin Zinggl lives in Vienna.
