Prof. Dr. Frauke Brosius-Gersdorf

Prof. Dr. Frauke Brosius-Gersdorf, LL.M., was born in Hamburg in 1971. She is a professor of public law specializing in constitutional and social law at the University of Potsdam. Previously, she taught and conducted research at various law schools in Germany. In July 2025, the SPD nominated her for a position as constitutional judge and vice president of the Federal Constitutional Court. After a heated public debate about her nomination, she withdrew her candidacy in August 2025. Frauke Brosius-Gersdorf lives in Berlin.
