Elmar Freels

Elmar Freels, screenwriter, producer, director, lecturer. Studied history and French as a teacher, member of an internationally touring punk rock band. Successful in the TV and comedy industry for many years. Co-responsible for the success of "Was guckst Du?!" with Kaya Yanar, "Knallerfrauen" with Martina Hill and the sitcom "Almania" with Phil Laude. Creator and head writer of "Rabenmütter". In recent years he has also been a frequent lecturer, for example in Beijing and Shanghai. His work has been awarded the German Television Prize, several times the German Comedy Prize and the SAAR Screenplay Prize. His award-winning short films are shown at national and international festivals.
