Claudia Schumacher, born in Tübingen in 1986, grew up in the Stuttgart suburbs, studied in Berlin and lived in Zurich for a few years. She worked as a journalist, among others for the ›NZZ am Sonntag‹ and for ›DIE ZEIT‹. Today she lives as a writer in Hamburg. Her debut novel ›Love is fierce‹, which was nominated for the aspekte literature prize and the Newcomer Prize of the Harbor Front Literature Festival, was awarded the title ›Book of the Year‹ 2022 at the Hamburg Literature Awards and the author won the 2023 literary scholarship from the state of Baden-Württemberg. Claudia Schumacher is currently working on her second novel.
