Arne Semsrott
Arne Semsrott, born in Hamburg in 1988, heads the transparency organization FragDenStaat, which caused a stir with the publication of the "NSU files", among other things, and has gone to court more than a hundred times to enforce access to information. During and after his studies of political science in Berlin and Istanbul, he worked as a freelance journalist for Le Monde Diplomatique, the political magazine fluter and the site netzpolitik.org, among others. Together with his brother Nico Semsrott, he created the "Calendar of Failure". He runs the project "Hochschulwatch" for Transparency International. As the founder of the Freedom Fund, he has freed more than 850 people from prison for driving without a ticket.
